was composing songs. She sang and played her original work at church throughout her adolescence. During her late teens/early twenties, she wrote personalized wedding songs for friends and family and performed them during their ceremonies and/or receptions.

Eventually Marcy joined a band. In the years to follow, she played and sang in several local cover and/or original bands.

Marcy currently lives on the east side of Saint Paul. One night, at a local bar, she heard Jennifer singing karaoke. After discovering that Jen also played guitar, Marcy invited her to come over the next day to jam. They hit it off extremely well, and have been playing and writing like crazy ever since.


Jennifer VonGroven:
Jennifer made her entrance to this world in La Crosse, WI. Her first musical exposure was to her father's Barbershop quartet. In high school, Jennifer balanced select chorus, show choir, gymnastics, diving, cross country, track, theater, and sometimes schoolwork.

After college she packed up and moved to Mexico, twice. Whilst on the beaches of Oxaca she picked up the guitar for fear of singing solo.

She met Marcy singing karaoke at a bar in East St. Paul, MN on her birthday in 2002. After a quick change of pace in San Francisco and 14 mailing addresses in 10 years, Jennifer now resides back in the Cities, just a few blocks from Marcy and the karaoke bar where they met.
